On Scan Disk start I get an error noting that "FILES ARE NTFS AND CANNOT BE OPENED". No scan disk is done (unlike it has operated always in the past), and system moves on to start up the computer and go to a desktop view. How can I make this utility work and can anyone advise wht it suddenly stopped working after years of no problems? Thank you! 1 person needs an answerI do too

BruceScandisk is not a Windows XP tool! You either have an earlier operating system, perhaps Windows 98 or you are using a different utility, perhaps chkdsk on Windows XP. Please clarify? Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell
