Scams
A man using the Email Nicky_ th_ devil @ hotmail.com contacted me using realistic hotmail letterhead telling me that my account was being deleted if I did not give him all my information. EX. Account, name password ,D.O.B., Country. Sounded scammy, but looked real enough for me to write you and ask you. Is this guy for real? Is hotmail deleting accounts. If this is from hotmail then why do you need this information, you should already have it. 1 person needs an answerI do too

It is indeed a scam. Common sense would indeed tell you Hotmail already has this information.

Thanks NO MO It just sounded way too Scammy, but be careful because it looked really official. Oh I filled it out where it said account I wrote, THIS SOUNDS SCAMMY. Where It asked for Password I wrote, I DON'T GIVE PASSWORD OUT ON-LINE. I then made a few comments before shipping it back to him.

In this case you SHOULD NOT response at all. You should NOT send any email or reply it. because some scammers are NOT sure that email exist they just send rendomly and NOT sure if it is active and when you send back they sure email is active and try to spam you again. Firstly go to Hotmail setting and make sure Anti-Spam or Junk is on. This email should been detect as Spam at first place if NOT your Anti-Spam is off. Then right click on it and Mark it as Spam or Junk and then thats all.

Thanks Cyber Defend Team, About 90% goes to junk already, this one slipped through. I just thought that I would get the message out there about this one, because it was well done. It even contained the Windows Live tm, But when you clicked on it, the Email went to someone going by the the name Nicky_th_devil@ hotmail.com. It said that due to overcrowding Hotmail was deleting accounts and if you did not want your account to be deleted. You had 48 hours to respond and would have to give up your info. In the future I will just delete junk like this and will not respond to it.

By mark these type of email as Spam, you are also helping Windows Live team, becuase email that mark as spam would review by system to make Anti-Spam better.
