Saving a SQL Report (RDL) being prompted by Windows to save as a ZIP file
Platform Windows 7. Using a web based application I am generating (saving) an RDL report to perform some customization work to it. The Windows prompt to Save or Open has the file tagged as a ZIP file. When you save it, SQL Server Business Intelligence Dev Studio will not open this file. It has been corrupted. You cannot unzip the file. This is only occuring on one workstation. The process works as expected on hundreds or other machines. Attempted to change file association using regular methods (a) Right click, open with, always open... (b) Control Panel, Default Programs, Set Association.... The real problem is saving the RDL file. Windows automatically changes the file type to .zip (I believe this is solely an OS issue.) Uninstalled and reinstalled SQL Server Business Intelligence Dev Studio. Searched online unsuccessfully for a registry fix. Any ideas?

What is the web application you are using? This issue should not be related to Windows 7. I suggest you contact the publisher of the application for more information. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
