Can someone please respond on my above query
Hi rajkl, can you advise which component of MIM please.
Cheers,
Sync service and service databases
Hi rajkl, I don't think the guidance has changed between FIM 2010 and MIM 2016. My understanding is that AlwaysOn can be used in certain recovery situations. The FIM 2010 IPD states "Other high availability and disaster recovery strategies like database mirroring and log shipping can also be used to provide fault tolerance for the SQL Server database, whether located locally or remotely."
Thanks Tom, When I have asked same question for FIM 2010 R2 SP1 I got the below response.

If we go by the IP guide notes I guess FIM 2010 R2 Sp1 is also support SQL 2012 Always on Availability Group support of Sync and service database placement because SQL AAG is combination of database mirroring and log shipping. Please share your thoughts.
In the FIM 2010 era there were slides of the PG stating:
- Log shipping: not supported (should work but not tested)
- Database mirroring: not working
For FIM 2010 R2 I've never seen any statements that log shipping, database mirror or always on were either working and/or supported...
I actually queried the statement from the IPD with the PG and got a response from Andreas verifying it.Please share your thoughts.
Cheers,
Thanks Tom, Can you please let me know what is PG

Please could you mark an answer rajkl.
