SQL Server option missing in Win7 x64 ODBC
So I have a Windows 7 x64 desktop here and I need to add an ODBC connection via the x64 ODBC tool. For whatever reason the SQL Server option is missing. Here is a screenshot: http://i55.tinypic.com/t893dv.png Never seen this before.

Well I posted it in here because out of the 50+ Windows 7 x64 boxes, this is the only one missing the sql server option in the x64 ODBC. x32 ODBC on the same PC is fine.

I was hoping that format/reinstall would be the last option. Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for the post. First, please check whether the sqlsrv32.dll file is existing in the path %windir%\system32 and %windir%/SysWOW64. If not, I suggest you to perform SFC/scannow command to check this integrality of system files. If the files are already existing there, please check the following. The path for the SQL Server ODBC driver in the registry entry is either invalid or is pointing to a network driver. This causes driver installation to fail. Go to the following registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\SQL Server and change the "driver" and "setup" values to point to %WINDIR%\system32\sqlsrv32.dll directory.
