SCEP alerts from workstations in the field?

Hi team,

Is it possible to get virus/malware alert notifications from workstations in the field, i.e., off domain but internet connected?

I remember years ago I think Symantec had a feature to use SMTP or maybe it even used the MAPI of the Outlook client installed.

Thanks for any and all advice.

-Bob

You can't get notification alerts directly from clients, but via Internet-Based Client Management (IBCM), clients can report in to a management point that is accessible from the Internet, which will then communicate their status to the primary site. The malware alert notification would then trigger just as it does for systems that are currently connected to the domain network.

When malware is detected, it will also note it in the event viewer, you may create a event forwarding to notify you when an event which associate with malware trigged.
