Running an e.e from a W2K3 share
We use adatabase which is based on OpenInsight, not a verycommon piece of software. The way to install is to run a client from a mapped share, which is usually J:. When I run the client it asks for the file location, which is an exe calledopeninsight.exe on the J: drive in the folder (J:\Live\openinsight.exe).Under every version of Windows this hasn't been a problem but under Windows 7the installer says that it cannot see openinsight.exe. I can double-click on that exe and run the program, which is fine once it gets going. Is there some sort of feature which prevents exe files being called when they're on network shares or something? I have joined the machine to the domain and am using the domain admin user.TimTim Gowen

Can you use UNC paths with OpenInsight when the client asks for a file location? For example: \\servername\Live\openinsight.exe. Since UNC paths are persistent, they may make a better solution if your application allows their use.
