Run as administrator won't work when UAC is on minimum setting
I have the UAC turned down to its minimum setting so that it never notifies. When I then try to run a program as administrator (from a standard user account) it runs it without admin privileges. I understand that the UAC should be on but I am trying to test some software and need to know if this behaviour is by design. Is there any possible way of running a program as an administrator (from a standard user account) when the UAC is off? Many thanks in advance.

Hi si.gh,You can't run as administrator using a standard user account. Run as administrator is excuted by admin account. I just did a test, I can run as administrator after turning off UAC if I logged on with a administrator account.Best RegardsDale
