Run Time Error
I am running Win 7 Pro, new install not upgrade, Gateway ZX 6800, 1 TB HD, 8 meg ram. I randomly get the following error message:
Runtime Error
Program: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\rundll32.exe
abnormal program termination
Any ideas or suggestions to correct this? I think this may have started after an MS update. Being random in nature, I also don't know if it is caused by any software or AV updates.

I would uninstall Internet Explorer. Reboot. Then install Internet Explorer again.

Hi,
I suspect it is caused by software conflicts; because SysWOW64 is a subsystem of the Windows operating system that is capable of running 32-bit applications, please
check the 32-bit applications you installed recently.
You could try to boot into Safe Mode with networking to see if this issue still occurs. If not, please perform a
Clean Boot to troubleshoot.
Hope it helps.
