Win7 (64) Home Premium SP1 connected to cable broadband modem. No further network:
I cannot uninstall my OEM Roxio. I think I'm having the same problem with Quick Time. The hidden Uninstall Information folders in C:\Program Files (X86) and Program Files are both empty, even with Hidden System Files shown. There was a questionable
download around the first of April, but MS Security finds nothing. I've also lost the ability to create a new User Account that doesn't fail the logon. Has there been a malware attack, or what? I am a novice; please talk down.

Firstly, please let us know the following:

1. Can you run programs properly although your Program Files folders are empty? Were they empty before?
2. What are the size of the Programs Files folders?

3. How did you create a new user account?
4. What error message did you receive when you failed to create a new user account?


Meanwhile, please try the following:

1. Perform a

system restore and see how it works.
2. Using another anti-virus application to scan your system if you have.
3. Boot into
Clean Boot Mode and test these issues again.
4. Run
this Microsoft Fixit, try to uninstall the programs and see how it works.
