I ran an anti-rootkit removal from avg..it found 4 but will not heal or delete them..how shoudl I do this ? this is what he first two look like....can yu help ?Click on the link below and download Superantispyware Portable. The scanner does not install nor need updating assuming you perform the scan within a reasonable amount of time after downloading.Superantispy-portableAfter you have scanned with the above download, update and choose a full scan with Malwarebytes link below.Malwarebytes.orgNext, click on the link below and downlaod TDSS Killer. This is a rootkit detection tool. The scan is very short. Read the prompts on the screen. If you continue to have issues after running these scans post back.TDSSKiller.exeIf you need further assistance please post back.I don't vote for myself I'm not here for the points. Not all hidden entries found are necessarily rootkits. Have you tried Sophos Anti-Rootkit?http://www.sophos.com/products/free-tools/sophos-anti-rootkit.htmlInstall and run it, then look at the recommendations for each item found.SC Tom-There's no such thing as TMI when asking for tech support.

Thanks for helping...I did everything that you posted..all worked but the TDSSKiller.exe did not find anything....I redid the antiroot kit from avg and they are still showing....any more suggestions ?As noted by the answer above not all hidden files are rootkits. Honestly the file path(s) in your initial post make absolutely no sense. There are no such paths. My advice to you is to get rid of AVG. It really isn't a good anti-virus software. I recommend Avast 5.0 which has paid and free versions. If you follow my advice perform a boot-time scan with Avast as soon as the installation is complete. Finally, it is my belief that support is no longer provided for AVG rootkit which means it is outdated and no longer of value.Avast Free Antivirus - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com I don't vote for myself I'm not here for the points.
