Rootkit causes my pc to not load my user account.
One day I tried logging on to my user account but it said something like windows could not load the file, it may have been corrupted, or something like that. Then it tells me it will load a temporary account and any changes made will not be saved when I log off. I did a whole computer search with AVG 8 (free) but came back with nothing. So I did a rootkit scan and gave me 2 files. These are the files it gave me:C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfsnifs.sysI believe both were the same files. No other user accounts were harmed, but all of my files and documents are missing. I don't think they're gone, just missing.1 person got this answerI do too

Thank you so much. I did error checking through windows explorer, all my settings and files were located again. However, it makes me wonder even more why AVG told me I had a rootkit. But I reckon it's fixed now.
