Right click changes current directory...
XP Home ed. SP3+ One of my PC's right-click on a folder or file, behaviour has changed. Using Windows Explorer, when I right-click on a sub-folder, or a file, and get its' pop-out menu - if I release the mouse button, I step up/back a folder ( equiv. to cd.. then [Enter] in old dos days, if you see what I mean), Have reset theme, switched off themes, reset to Classic theme, fiddled with Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options , ....it gets "fixed" for a while, then eventually comes back. Would have liked to have worked through Ramesh's "Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers" :-http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm...and downloaded Nirsoft's :-http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html to have a quick check on context menu handlers, rather than wading through HKCR keys by hand. but, Virustotal :-http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/report.html?id=88f2d9614bd20b191954d36a8d886577826ca2911ba46f1581e7c515e37f44f7-1281101667...indicates a trojan payload, most likely just one or two false positives but, I haven't got the time to rip it apart and check. ...any tips much appreciated. regards, Richard 1 person needs an answerI do too
