Right Click on a Link does not work in IE !!
Am I doing something wrong? I right click on Link in IE and try to use the context menu to open it or open itin new Tab, nothing happens ....! In fact none of the options in the context menu does anything...Is MS or everyone aware of this problem??I am using Win7 Build 7000 and IE8 (Version 8.0.7000.0)

Does this also happen in Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)?

How long has this been going on? Did this behavior happen immediately after you installed Windows 7 or is it a recent manifestation? Try IE8 in No Add-ons mode as Ryan Capp suggested to see if there really is an issue with IE8 or an add-on. IE 8 on all of my Windows 7 computers works normally.

Exactly how do you have your mouse configured? Some mouse software - such as Microsoft's Intellipoint -allows you to reconfigure your mouse buttons to do all kinds of things. Does the right-click work anywhere else?

It works everywhere in whatever context it is set up to do. If an application has a print function and you set the right-click to print, it's going to print. This is how my mouse is set:

Not sure when this started. My win7 had lot of updates when I started yesterday. I just noticed it today.I have not installed anything new except just the regular updates. The context menu comes up ok but I cantclick on anything. It's as ifit was not there at all. I am wondering if it is the Nvidia Graphics driver problem? I dont remember if I tried to use right click in IE8 before. Ithouhgt it was a generic problem foreveryone...

Try another browser such as FF and see if the issue is there also. If so, then you have an issue with your mouse or configuration. If not, then try to reset IE8.

I tried Google Chrome and it works just fine. Only my IE8 is having this issue. Does anyone else have this problem?

Download Process Monitor from here:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx Then run the application and right-click on any row with a Process Name of iexplorer.exe -> Include 'iexplorer.exe'and play around in IE a bit. Also, do a full close of IE and restart it so the application can pick up any registry settings. Then just go to file->save and use the defaults. Once that's done, just find a place to upload the PML file that you created.

Have you reset IE like Darien suggested?Click Tools | Internet Options Go to the Advanced tab - at the bottom, there's the reset button. It will restore IE to it's original settings.

I could use it in Win7 but I tried to use in Vista...it gave me "access denied error" Is it compatible with Vista and XP ?

Yes, although it needs to be run as an administrator.

I am running as Administrator still it gives me:"Windows cannot access the specified File, device, file or path, you may not have permissions to access ......"It worked just fine under Win 7...so not sure why it wont work under Vista. Seems like it's looking in the wrong place for something.
