I am running Richcopy 4.0.217 on Windows 8.1.

For the most part I love it.  Fast. Simple.

I want to back up 4 folder trees to an external drive: Documents, Pictures, Music & Favorites.

I can do it in 4 separate jobs, but if I check more than 1 box in the folder tree (e.g. Documents AND Music) I get error 87 ("Cannot copy file.)  ??

I suspect if your external drive is FAT32 partition. If so, please FORMAT it as NTFS partition.
