Restricting Access to VPN
I have restricted the use of Remote Desktop through Firewall on Windows 7. Is there a way to block VPN in a similar way?

Hi, VPN connections can be blocked by firewall products. To allow PPTP traffic, you need configure the network firewall to open TCP port 1723 and to forward IP protocol 47 for Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) traffic to the VPN server. To allow L2TP traffic, you need configure the network firewall to open UDP port 1701 and to allow IPsec ESP formatted packets (IP protocol 50). So, if you want to block the VPN connections, you could block the specific ports. Thank you. The server runs on PPTP and blocking it solved my problem.
