Restricted Sites in IE 8
I have a 9 year old and I want to stop IE 8 from loading sites I know are bad or I find out are NOT FOR KIDS or for adults for that matter as my wife and I dont need to see that crap. My problem is, I have loaded several site names into the RESTRICTED SITES list under tools and they still load! can anyone explain why or what I need to change?

Hi TonyStone1234, I would recommend you use Content Advisor to block specific websites http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Using-Content-Advisor-to-help-block-inappropriate-web-content. Here are the detailed steps: 1: Click the Start button, type INETCPL.CPL in the search box and press Enter. 2. Click the Content tab, click Enable..., click the General tab, and then click Create password to create a password. 3. Then, click the Approved Sites tab, type the URL of the websites one by one and click Never. 4. Click OK. After that, those websites cannot be accessed until the Supervisor Password is entered. Hope it helps. Styx
