Restrict Changes to Desktop in Windows XP Pro
I have two computers running Windows XP Pro. They are to be used to access the Internet and Microsoft Office programs. I turned on the Guest Account so that a password is not required to log on. Some features are blocked because the user does not have the correct privileges. That's fine. However, I do not want "Guests" to be able to add or delete icons on the desktop or to change the wallpaper or change how the task bar works. How can I put additional restrictions on the computers?

Hello S Harris,Windows XP by default does not give the option to set restrictions on the standard users to access wallpapers and set other restrictions. There are several Third Party Applications that give you an option to set parental controls on the other user accounts. Search for Parental Control Software using your favorite search engine that will give you a capability to restrict users accessibility.THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE DISCLAIMER:Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly.
