I tried to set my PC to the Factory Setting. I want to sell my PC and now it says i need to re-install a copy of this <Windows root>\systems32\hal.dll. But i dont have a a dics for it. and i can't get past it1 person needs an answerI do too

With XP you will have to have the disks.....or you can borrow them from someone that you know that has them.....But you will have to have your PRODUCT KEY.

how did you restore your pc ? if this was done by a restore partition, then you don't need a cd, try running the restore again. if the same error comes up, then you may have an hd problem.
