Restore folders with File History

PC has 2 drives.

1 drive is for File History and that runs automatically.

Other drive is the OS drive.

So, I wanted to do a image restore of the OS (C:) drive.

I checked the File History via Windows 8.1 File History program and all was OK.

Restored an image with a date of 12-30-14 and all went well.

Opened Windows 8.1, accessed File History via File History Restore and all it shows is File History dates of 12-30-14 and earlier??

Of course I was able to simply go to the drive that I used for file history and copy the files back to the OS drive but that was a pain.

Question, why was I not able to open File History via the Windows 8.1 interface and see all my File History data by dates, why was everything newer than 12-30-14 missing from the view.

Thank you

Hi,

Did you mean that you have restored system by using the image file created on 12-30-14?

When trying to restore files, can you click/tap on the left and right arrows to scroll through the different dated versions of your files until you find a version you want to restore files from?

Yes the image was dated 12-30-14.

I could only scroll through to 12-28-14, there was nothing past (newer)  that.

Being as how I did this Saturday, now when I scroll I see 12-28-14 (and before/earlier) and the new file history of 6-28-15 and todays 6-29-15.

Everything from 12-29-14 to 6-26-15 is missing?

I have Snipping tool images if you want them, it would not let me include them in the body of this message.
