I have updated my windows 8 to windows 8.1 three days before.

after a successful installation I got a resolution problem.

my screen resolution is 1366x768.

but after installation it is disabled to 1024x768.

I am using Windows 8.1, 4 GB RAM, AMD phenom x2 with grpahic card ATI Radeon HD 3000.

Please help me.

Did you try updating your graphics card drivers? If you give me your computer model I can help you track them down.

This should be incompatible graphic driver problem. Please follow the suggestion mentioned by aw00t reinstall your video driver for good measure.
