Residential Gateway Device
Hey guys, I was browsing my network today and noticed this device in the list, when I right clicked it it said it was a Microsoft product and gave me an IP for it, but I could not access it, can somebody explain to me what this could be? Thanks.

Do you mean that the device is your network gateway, or it is a network device, such as NAS or network printer from Gateway? Please let us know more information. Meantime you may temporary disable antivirus and firewall then check the result. If the issue persists, go to Gateway website and try to download Windows 7 compatible drivers for the device if it is present. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. We do not have this device as our network gateway, it just appears from time to time when browsing the network. Also, this is not a Gateway brand device, it looks more like Internet Sharing enabled on a machine, but it appears randomly in the network, not just one computer.
