Reshare drive after restart
I have a Win7 Home Premium Laptop and desktop. The desktop has 2 hard drives and the 2nd drive is encrypted using TrueCrypt. When I mount the encrypted drive I can share it and then access it fine from the laptop. My problem is that when the desktop is restarted, I lose the share. I have to remount the drive which is OK, but then I also have to go through the entire sharing process again. Is there any way I can have the sharing and permissions retained? I always use the same drive letter for the mounted drive. Thanks

Hi, Please refer to the contents in the following link: http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/?s=sharing-over-network “A TrueCrypt volume is mounted only on a single computer (for example, on a server) and only the content of the mounted TrueCrypt volume (i.e., the file system within the TrueCrypt volume) is shared over a network. Users on other computers or systems will not mount the volume (it is already mounted on the server). Remarks: Note that, when you restart the system, the network share will be automatically restored only if the volume is a system favorite volume or an encrypted system partition/drive (to configure a volume as a system favorite volume, mount it and select Volumes > 'Save Currently Mounted Volumes as System Favorites').” Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice.
