Require access to outlook express mail from a file backup.
Have a copy of the drive contents from a crashed system. There is critical information in the Outlook Express emails on that system that I need access to. I bought a new Windows XP system with the idea that I would be able to copy the .dbx files and whatever else to the new computer and be able to open that mail. Appears to be more complex than I thought at first. How can I get access to and read the information from these emails?1 person needs an answerI do too

Copy your Outlook Express Identity from the old hard drive (You may need to take ownership, see win help) transfer complete identity to Documents folder of new PCWithin OE import msgs from IdentityPS Critical info requires a data backup procedure in place for such an event, otherwise data cannot be considered 'critical'
