Repeated Crashing/ Forced Troubleshoot

Hello,

A few hours ago I logged onto my laptop and within a minute of making it my desktop it crashed and I had to do a hard restart. I was able to login once again, however, my laptop froze once more and once again I had to do a hard restart. This cycle continued for another 30 minutes before I was suggested to troubleshoot or restart my computer.

As I had already restarted my computer, I chose to refresh my computer because it would leave most of my settings and applications intact.

The good news is that my laptop is working fine and it isn't crashing within a minute of login. The bad news is that most if not all of my applications have been removed and I am forced to re-download all of them.

I was wondering if this is the first time this has been reported or if there are other cases like this that have popped up recently?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure of the question.  Refreshing does not "keep" all the apps.  Can you be more specific?

Sorry,

I guess my question is that- is this a problem that has become prevalent recently or is it just a localized issue to my system?

Hi Aaron.

We haven`t met many similar case recently, so it could be a localized issue to your system.

Instead of refreshing the machine directly, we could try to perform a system restore to have a check.

Refreshing the machine will keep personal files or settings. Windows will put a list of removed apps on the desktop after refreshing the PC.

Best regards
