Hi balubeto! Try this steps to remove orphan SID's! 1) obtain a list of all ACLS for entire subdirectory and store in OUT.txt subinacl /subdirectories C\*.* /display >out.txt 2) Sort OUT.txt and store in OUT2.txt sort out.txt /o out2.txt 3) Search OUT2.txt for /pace=S-1 (This will find all your orphanded SIDs). Copy/paste clean up the SIDs, and remove duplicates. 4) FOR each SID run the following command, replacing the SID below as needed. This will REMOVE the SID from the ACL. subinacl /subdirectories C:\*.* /suppresssid=S-1-5-21-56248481-1302087933-1644394174-1001 regards thnks to Gunner999 I want to be a MVP! | Computer Technician

Unfortunately, the subinacl utility is not included in Windows 7. In addition, this utility does not remove the orphaned SID from the Windows 7 registry. So, how do I do this only with the commands and utilities included in all editions of Windows 7? THANKS BYE Balubeto
