Removing Windows7 when it was used as secondary operating system oon the same PC.
I recently removed windows7 RC from my PC. It has left some boot screen problems. I was using windows XP Proff and Windows7 on the same computer but hard disk was having two partitions. My boot screen shows two options as " Earlier version of Windows" and "Windows7". The Win7 is default selection for the boot and if I do not pay attention for 30 sec while booting the PC will boot into Win7. Now since I have removed the Win7 I have a problem. Its anoying to sit and watch while the PC boots. My request to people who can help me is "CAN I MAKE THIS GO BACK TO NO OPTION SCREEN?" I mean I do not want options just the old WinXP boot screen.

1) Type MSCONFIG in Windows 7's Search programs and files box and press the Enter key on your keyboard.2) When the System Configuration window opens, click on the Boot tab.3) Click once on the Windows 7 entry to highlight, then click on the Default button.4) Click once on the Earlier version of Windows entry to highlight, then click on the Delete button.5) Restart your computer and you'll now boot directly into the functional Windows 7 operating system.Carey Frisch
