Removing AVG8 to install NOD32
I decided to try NOD32 and kick AVG, After trying to remove AVG, i received BSOD during the uninstall process on one the dll files, once the computer rebooted i attempted again, same thing happened again. This time though the computer just hung at the Windows 7 Logo, after 10min i reset the computer then went into the diagnostics mode and restored/repaired and rebooted.I manually removed all but one dll file for AVG, the trouble of course is now probably have a dirty registry, does anyone know of a decent reg cleaner compatible with Win7, as im not in the mood for a day of manually going through the registry.CheersDarkat

When removing programs I use the Revo Uninstaller, available from here I think. Revo Uninstaller runs the programs own Uninstall function and then scours the drive for any remaining traces and registry entries from the program. Very thorough. I don't know that it will install on Windows 7, but I am using it from the windowsold folder. It is a very useful tool, but be sure to read the instructions carefully.
