Remove stored network key from windows
When I try to connect to my router, an 8-digit, masked, network key appears in the KEY and CONFIRM fields. I change both fields to the 10-digit code required for my router. The connection fails and when I return to the initial screen both fields are populated with the 8-digit key. My net searches indicate that the 8-digit key is stored in a registry file and must be removed/changed there. I am a little gun-shy about regedit. Is there an easier way to correct my problem? If not, can you provide me with clear steps so I don't mess up the registry on my computer?1 person needs an answerI do too
