Hi, this is from W7 but basically is the same in order to provide an screenshot guide, you must follow only this process:
How to uninstall Skype for Business:
Since Skype for Business/Lync is part of Office, you will need to remove it from your Office installation by executing a "Change":
From there you would uninstall Skype for Business by making "Microsoft Lync" or "Skype for Business", "Not Available" depending on your version of Office:
Different versions of Office may still have various different removal or uninstall methods but the concept is the same. You have to remove the "Skype for Business" / "Lync" component or in the worst-case scenario, uninstall Microsoft Office. I can see this being possibly necessary in trial/preview editions.

Hi Carlos,
Thanks for the info.
When I clicked Change, I only got the options for Quick Repair or Online Repair. I did not get the second snapshot below where you're given the option to select Lync or Skype for Business. BTW, I'm now on Windows 10 now but it shouldn't matter, right?Could you paste here an screenshot to get a better understanding?

Hi,
There is only one way is to uninstall complete MS Office 2013.
Control Panel> Programs > Program and Features > MS office professional Pilus 2013-en-us.
Then install office 2013 again and use Customize option and if you can de-select Skype for Business there.
If you are using O365 then might you don't have to customize this.

Hello,
If you want to stop running Skype for Business client then remove below highlighted check marks.
