Remove Desktop Defender from new netbook?
How does one remove a virus from a netbook? It's my son's, and we have other PCs in the house and on a network that we could use, or we can go and buy an external drive if need be, but it won't let us do anything but use Task Manager. It's the Desktop Defender virus. He got it for Christmas and we haven't even had time yet to install security, which we have on every other PC in the house!

You MUST uninstall the free-trial and download/run the appropriate removal tool before installing any Windows Service Packs or IE upgrades and before installing your new anti-virus application.
