Removable drive puzzle
I have an Epson Stylus printer connected to a rear USB port. I have two memory sticks and occasionally plug one or other into a front USB port. I have probably plugged a memory stick into a rear USB port at some time past but I have never plugged the printer into a front port. I am getting Event ID 11 controller errors for the removable drive. This evening I noticed in Disk Management that the removable drive is described as an Epson Stylus Storage USB device. The device is similarly described in Device Manager. Could this confusion be causing the controller error? Both the memory stick and the printer work properly but the errors persist. How can I eliminate the errors?Hope this helps, Gerry

Thanks for reponding but I was hoping for more focussed advice than what is contained in a Microsoft Knowledge Base Article written as a general troubleshooter over 10 years ago and not reviewed since Sepember 2004. Gerry
