Remote printing will not work when Host PC runs XP
Hi, I have Windows 7 installed on my laptop. I have an old Dell Desktop loaded with XP Home running 24-7 for a game server. I also have a printer hooked up to it and shared so that the various laptops on the network can print. When XP was loaded on my laptop, I could remote print without a problem. After I installed Windows 7 RC1 on my laptop, It would not print anymore. Just for the heck of it, I shared that same printer with my Vista desktop and my Windows 7 laptop was able to print remotely without a problem. Any way I can get my laptop to print from an XP shared printer?

You did not mention the homegroup setting. Don't be in a Homegroup if you want to do much of anything with XP.
