Remote desktop stopped working, What can I do remotely to get it up and running again? I have VPN access and access to all the files
For some reason, I stopped being able to access my windows 7 ultamte machine via remote desktop. It freezes on "configuring session". I am connected to by box via hamachi VPN. I can browse via a share all the files on the machine, so I know the machine is up and running. I tried running pssshutdown, but I never added the registry setting, so it wont work. I tried using a remote registry, but I am getting access is denied. Any suggestions? I do not currently have physical access to the machine? Is there a different way of me restarting it? Or is there a tmp file that is corrupted (and that is why I cant login) that I can delete? THanks

You are having a problem with third party software: Hamachi VPN. You need to contact the publisher of the software and talk to their Technical Support. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi , I would like to check whether the machine which you want to access is in a domain environment and there is any policy or firewall which is blocking the remote access. Also, you may try to use the following steps to test if it is able to access your remote client: set up a remote connection to your workplace using VPN. Regarding the Hamachi VPN issue, as Rick Dee suggested above, please contact the software manufacturer for further assistance.Tracy Cai TechNet Community Support
