Remote desktop resolution issue from high resolution client to server
Problem: Laptop with high end video card and resolution 1900*1600. When connecting to a windows 2003 terminal server , everything looks to small. Even when changing the display settings and edit the rdp file it only adjust the screen size, but not the resolution. Wich is normal behavior. Question: Is it possible to let the remote desktop looks bigger WITHOUT changing the laptop resolution to a lower state (gives a blur impression on text and icons)

Try to adjust your DPI settings on the TS side.

the old Server 2003 is not well suited to the higher resolution displays everyone uses now see if you can get into using server 2008 r2, which is much better Windows MVP 2010-11, XP, Vista, 7. Expanding into Windows Server 2008 R2, SQL Server, SharePoint, Cloud, Virtualization etc. etc. Hardcore Games, Legendary is the only Way to Play Developer | Windows IT | Chess | Economics | Vegan Advocate | PC Reviews

Hi, Regarding the issue, I suggest that you change the Display setting in RDC to Full Screen. William Tan TechNet Community Support
