In Windows server there is no UID. Do you use SFU? If so, I suspect that this issue occurs if RSAT does not work with SFU. SFU will only works when you configure AD locally on DCs.Arthur Xie - MSFT

thanks for your answerbut problem iswe still use RIS for imaging pc's with windows xpfor booting with PXE you need to fill in AD the UID from the pc you want to imageno problems with admin tools for W2K3 serverbut now I installed W7 on mu laptop and RSAT for W7When I add a new pc to the domain , I don't have the option to add a UID anymoreKind regards
