Remote Desktop on XP cannot connect to Windows 7 : Error 0xc00002fd
I am running Remote Desktop 6.1.7600 on Windows XP sp3 on two different machines and am trying to connect to a Windows 7 computer on the same domain from either of them. On the first XP machine I repeatedly get a 0xC00002fd 'an authentication error has occurred' error when trying to connect to the Windows 7 machine. On the second XP machine I am simply prompted for user id and password repeatedly. On both XP machines I have enabled CredSSP according to MS kb article 951608. I am an admin on the Windows 7 machine and am using my own credentials to log in. This connection has worked in the past from at least one of these XP machines and now suddenly it does not, or only intermittently. The Mac OSX version of RD seems to work just fine. This makes me wonder if there has been an update on the XP side that makes CredSSP no longer work correctly?1 person got this answerI do too
