Remote Desktop on 2 Windows 7 Professional computers was working and then suddenly stopped.
I have a macbookpro running Windows 7 Pro not through bootcamp its a clean install. Then I have a self built AMD Phenom Triple core running windows 7 Pro as well. The computers were connecting no problem for months over Remote desktop till today I tried and from neither computer can I connect to the other. I can ping each computer and I can access the files over the network no problem. My network isn't down because I stream video over my network to 2 xbox and a ps3 using windows media center and that is still functional. All the computers on the system see all the devices and are talking to them. So I am not sure why all the sudden it would have stopped working I just purchased a new AirPort Extreme router model A1354 but I doubt thats the problem since it has been working since I switched about a month ago this just happened today. The only thing I have done major to my system in the last 24 hours was I installed ubuntu 10.04 Desktop but it was on a seperate 100gb partition my system runs on a 1tb drive so I don't see why there would have been an issue there. I am really stumped as to the problem. If someone could have that would be great.

Hi, I would like to suggest you update the router firmware and the network card driver for Windows 7 first. After that, you need to disable the antivirus program and firewall to test the issue in Clean Boot. Does it work? @Arthur The firmware on the router is up to date the network card is up to date on both windows 7 systems. The anti virus I use is AVG I have tried disabling it and rebooting still no luck. Any other suggestions.
