Remote Desktop ignores display settings on both machines
My eyes are not what they once were and so I have the display both my work and home computers configured for 150% (Larger) and also for larger fonts. However, when I RDP from home to work, Remote Desktop ignores the settings on both machines. Is there a way to get RDP to observe the display settings. Unhappily, changing The Display Configuration on Remote Desktop doesn't do anything useful in this respect - the size of the window shrinks but all the elements stay tiny. Both my home and work computers are Windows 7. Thanks for any help!

Hi, I would like to verify if two displays are the same model. Do you use full screen through Remote Desktop? Please update the latest video card driver from manufacturer first. Then adjust the same resolution on both computers. Niki Han TechNet Community Support

Ok, my surprise. When I got to work, that machine had reverted to the 100% settings even though Personalize/Display still showed it as 150%. I changed it to 125 and then back to 150. So, perhaps when I get home I'll see that the problem is solved.

I updated the video card driver but this did not change anything. The display are not the same model. I use full screen but the same thing happens in a non-full screen setting. To be clear, the desktop settings on both machines are set to 150%. That is on the control panel at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display, I'm picking the "Larger" setting. What Remote Desktop display is crazily small. I've never see the icons and text that small.

I take it back. It's happening again. Rebooting the machine at work doesn't help.

Hi Same here (Win Server 2008 R2)... Has there been any news in this issue? I can't do any serious work over remote desktop, everything is just too small.
