Remote Desktop can't connect
I am trying to run a Remote Desktop session from one computer (running Windows 7) to another (XP SP3) on my home LAN. Both computers belong to the same Workgroup and can be seen on the network. File shares on the XP machine can be accessed. I read that the credssp.dll has to be turned on since I have SP3, so I currently have that running. I have disabled all firewalls on both machines and enabled Remote Desktop through the System properties. When I try to access the Windows 7 machine from the XP machine, I get an authentication error (0x507).I feel that there is some kind of authentication going on that I don't know about, which is why the XP machineseems to berefusing the session. Does anyone know what this problem is? I can tell you that I AM able to create an RDC over a VPN to my office, which works fine.Any suggestions are MUCH appreciated!Thanks!Jeff6 people need an answerI do too
