Remote Desktop Vista Home(Client) and Win 7 Pro (host) Credentials
I am connecting by VPN to server (SBS2003). When I remote desktop using IP address it prompts for username and password. I keep getting an invalid credentials message. I know I have entered it correctly.

Hi, Before going any further, I would like to verify: 1. did you receive any error message when you remote from vista to Windows 7? 2. Did you add user in Windows 7 “Remote desktop users”? According to your description, it seems the username and password is incorrect or the user is not exist. You can try to create another user, then add the user to Windows 7 system properties---remote desktop---select users. Also you may confused domain user credential and local user credential. Hope that helps. Regards, Leo HuangPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Thanks, What worked was that Windows 7 considered my name as DOMAIN\username. I also changed the password on the Window 7 desktop (Host). The only message I recieved was "Creddentials do not agree" and it prompted for my passwod.
