My Remote Desktop Services service is broken. I am running a Windows 7 Professional system (Anywhere upgraded from Windows Home Premium) I know that the RDP service consists of: Remote Desktop Configuration Remote Desktop Services Remote Desktop Services UserMode Port Redirector On my computer I only see "Remote Desktop Configuration" and "Remote Desktop Services UserMode Port Redirector". The "Remote Desktop Services UserMode Port Redirector" service appears broken, and does not start. Is there any way for me to repair this?

Hi, According the issue, I suggest that you may use the following method to create the service: Method 1 Use sc .exe to create the Windows Service. Sc.exe uses the following syntax: Syntax1 (use Syntax1 to run Sc.exe) sc [Servername] Command Servicename [Optionname= Optionvalue...] Syntax2 (use Syntax2 to display help information, except for the query command) sc [Command] Please refer http://support.microsoft.com/kb/251192 Method 2 Also you may backup the Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\TermService from another computer of same operating system .Then copy to you computer and restore the Registry.
