Remote Desktop Login Access Denied Unless Domain Admin
I have an environment with some Windows XP machines and some Windows 7 machines. Originally only Domain Admins were on Windows 7 computers so I never noticed, but now that I have migrated some normal users to Windows 7, they cannot login to their newly update Windows 7 PC through remote desktop, receiving the following error: "The connection was denied because the user account is not authorized for remote login". I enable access through their user, they are local admins, and add them to the Remote Desktop Users group, just for good measure, and same thing. I add them directly in the user rights assignment area "Allow Login remotely" of the local PC and same error. I check the Domain Security Policy and everything is Not Defined, allowing local security policy to preempt. I check all the logs on the Windows 7 PC and see nothing. If I login to the same computer with my username, since I am a Domain Admin, it works perfectly. I am not sure what to do next. I see some things saying change the Domain Security Policy to match the local, but I don't see why that would help. Any ideas?

How does it work if you add their domain account to the remote connection account list? Also, please enter computername\username when it prompts for user name and password and let us know if it works. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
