Remote Desktop Connection Select Users

I'm using Win 8.1 on both my desktop and laptop. I'm trying to setup the Remote Desktop Connection on my desktop so I can connect to my laptop. On the laptop I opened System/Remote Settings then checked Allow Remote Assistance...

The attachment below is a screen shot from my laptop. And as you can see there's no way to select who can connect.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and what I need to do to remote to my laptop?

Thanks,

Paul

Remote assistance is not the same as remote desktop. Only certain versions of Windows support other PC's remoting into it, whereas all versions of Windows supports you remoting into another PC.

Simply put, the version of Windows running in the screenshot above will not allow other PC's to remote into it (otherwise you'd see the remote desktop settings below remote assistance). You can however use the PC in the screenshot above to remote into other PC's

I have 8.1 pro on the desktop and just 8.1 on the laptop.

Thanks for the quick reply and have a good day.
