Remote Desktop Access
I am trying to use Remote Desktop on a network to access 2 laptops from one, using laptops with running softwareVista home premium, Vista home basic, and Windows 7 home premium.Do this I need a Remote Desktop (option) on the bottom of theRemote tab, in Sytem Properties, However this is not there. All help and comments towards would be greatly recieved.Thanks,1 person needs an answerI do too

I don't believe the Home editions allow RDC host (server side) connections. They have the RDC client - i.e., you can use them to connect to another PC having Teminal Services - but you cannot connect to the Home editions from another PC.Some claim that changing the fDenyTSConnections value in the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server” hive to “0” from “1” will allow Home editions to accept RDC connections.
