I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and connecting via remote desktop to a terminal server using Windows 2003 Server. Only on the workstation using W7, when connected to the term server, when I am browsing the internet using IE8, i get "Because of an error in data encryption, this session will end". Then my remote session ends and I have to reconnect.

Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermService\Parameters 3. Under this registry subkey, delete the following values: o Certificate o X509 Certificate o X509 Certificate ID 4. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the server.
