Remote Assistance - Copy and paste does not work
Hello, i have a problem while using Remote Assistance. I connect via Offer Remote Assistance to another computer. After the other users Agreed to the Connection and to the Request for control I try to copy and paste text (e.g. a website url or something like that) from my system to the RA controlled system, but this does not work. Copy the text from the RA controlled system to the my system does not work, too. Does copy and paste work using Remote Assistance? Perhaps you can give me an answer or solution.

Hi, Do you initialize the Remote Assistance using invitation file, e-mail or Easy Connect? As I know, the remote session uses rdpclip.exe while the local machine uses clipbrd.exe to copy and paste items. To copy the files between the remote and local computers, you need to share the Clipboard which requires the PNRP (Peer Name Resolution Protocol) installed. In Windows 7, Windows Remote Assistance uses PNRP while connecting via Easy Connect. Thus I recommend you to initialize the Remote Assistance via Easy Connect. Hi, I use Remote Assistance with the Offer Remote Assistance feature provided by the Microsoft System Center Configuratio Manager. I will test the feature with the Clipboard and PNRP and then I will post my test results. Best Regards Chris
