Remote Access Connection Manager & modem
A user has a new computer and uses a modem (yes he does) to connect to the internet. Initially all was well, and the dial-up connection proceeded without any problems. Now, however, when you launch the dial-up connection, you get "Error 20: The system cannot find the device specified". I traced the problem back to the Remote Access Connection Manager service. The service does not start and when you try to start it, you get the same error message. I checked the dependent services and they are all started. Any ideas on what caused this and how to fix it? Thanks.

When did the issue begin to occur? If the issue just occured recently, you can try system restore to fix your issue. If you don't have the restore point before this issue occured, you can try the following suggestions.1. Make sure the correct modem is installed and selected. You can refer to this website to test your modem.2. If it does not respond, try to reinstall it. 3. Is RNAAPP loaded into memory after closing the dialer? If so end the tast on it or restart computer.4. You can also try to reinstall Dialup Networking.I hope this can help you.
