Hello Folks:
When it comes to problems, this is pretty small.
I use networks, but I'm a network dummy.
I take my laptop to other sites and connect to their internal LANs.
Then I bring it home and connect to my LAN, which uses static IP addressing.
I go into the network adapter setup and type in the adapter's IP and routing addresses, and that DNS info, and I'm connected.
Can I squirrel that info away in a file somewhere, so I can quickly, and accurately, setup my network adapters to connect to my network, without typing that stuff again and again?
I'm guessing this is what ipconfig might be used for, but I'm reluctant to mess with it unless I'm confident I won't be screwing something up.
Thanks
Larry
