Registry problem?
Trying to install WD MY Book Essentials, won't spent lots of time with WD. They think may be a registry prob.Gave me these: kb55175, & kb315346...I'm a nove what do I do with these . They said it's probably a registry issue. How can I clean it up? Thanks!

Thanks!=================================================FWIW...I have one and did not install anything...I just plugged in the adapterand connected it to a USB port.When I go to...My Computer...I have a drive letter that says: My Book (K:)Left clicking the drive letter launches the directory for the drive. I have never had a problem with the 8 or 9 WD Essentials I have seen, but that doesn't mean you don't have a problem with yours - maybe you got a bad one.Allow me me translate the "might be a registry issue" diagnosis:I have no idea what the problem is, I don't know how to figure it out and I don't know how to fix it.You have not even described what the problem is or anything about your system so that would be a good place to start.Don't guess what the problem might be - figure it out and fix it. I need YOUR votes and points for helpful replies and Propose as Answers. I am saving up for a pony!
